Leviathan Launches $SQUILL Airdrop
Celebrate Tax Day with Leviathan and claim your patriotic $SQUILL token airdrop.
Gm Squids.
It’s tax day and while you're sending off your hard earned crypto gains to the government, we’ve got a surprise for you.
Today, as Americans finalize their annual tax obligations, Leviathan is excited to announce $SQUILL a new governance token, airdropped to $SQUID holders
The token is officially launched as “Squid Pro Quo: Independence, Life & Liberty”, (shorter: $SQUILL).
Where did the name come from? Leviathan contributor Gerrit aka
writes:
It sounds a bit like $SQUID
It sounds like it’s what pirates drink (or is that swill?)
It sounds like a quill… which maybe the Dutch East India company used to vote?
It turns out a “squill” refers to a variety of flowers around the Mediterranean (a body of water, keeping the sea theme), and also is the only commercially fished
The token is a fork of the Snekmate ERC20 token by pcaversaccio. You may view it and interact on Etherscan. As of now, the only way to acquire $SQUILL is via the airdrop.
We’ve airdropped an initial 1,776,000 "Squid Pro Quo: Independence, Life & Liberty" ($SQUILL) tokens on the Ethereum mainnet. A “patriotic-themed” distribution which “symbolizes our commitment to decentralized decision-making.”
$SQUILL will have a maximum supply of 10 million, with future airdrops targeting decentralized stable communities.
This initial airdrop specifically rewards holders of our existing $SQUID token who maintained a balance of at least $100 worth of $SQUID (8000 SQUID) in Curve pools, gauges, Convex, or Llama Lend as of block 18922260 on Fraxtal. More than 200 DeFi enthusiasts and Leviathan readers are eligible to participate.
Eligible users have 60 days to claim their $SQUILL tokens via the official claim contract hosted on Etherscan: Airdrop Contract Link
At this stage, $SQUILL has no liquidity and thus no current market value, allowing holders flexibility in managing their claims.
We invite the Leviathan community to explore this exciting new chapter of stablecoin governance.
As always, this is not financial or legal advice.
